Salon Policies

Our policies exist to protect your experience and ensure every client receives the care they deserve.

Appointments & Walk-Ins

  • Appointments are strongly recommended to ensure preferred time and technician availability. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.
  • For weekends, holidays, and special occasions such as proms, weddings, and group events, we recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance.
  • Sundays are walk-in only from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Specific services and technicians cannot be guaranteed on Sundays.
  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and service preparation.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • We request at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment whenever possible. This allows us to offer the reserved time to another guest.
  • We understand that unexpected circumstances occur. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment.
  • Individual appointments are generally not subject to a cancellation fee. Deposits may be required for large group reservations or special events as described in our Group Bookings policy.
  • To cancel or reschedule, please call us at (904) 875-4000 during business hours.

Late Arrivals

  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to modify your service, transfer part of the service to another available technician, or reschedule your appointment to avoid disrupting other guests.
  • We do not charge clients for services that are not performed.

Group Bookings & Parties

  • Groups of 6 or more that book in advance receive 10% off eligible salon services.
  • Advance reservations are required for group bookings so that adequate time and technicians can be reserved.
  • A deposit may be required for larger group reservations or special events.
  • If a group fails to appear for its reserved appointment without contacting the salon, some or all of the deposit may be retained to offset the reserved time and staffing commitment.
  • When reasonable advance notice is provided, deposits may be transferred to a rescheduled group reservation rather than forfeited.
  • Please contact us directly at (904) 875-4000 or glitzglamjax@gmail.com to coordinate bridal parties, birthdays, corporate events, and other special celebrations.

Payment, Gratuity & Gift Cards

  • We accept all major credit cards, cash, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
  • Gratuity is appreciated but never required. Guests who wish to leave a gratuity commonly choose 15–20% of their service total.
  • Prices listed on our menu are subject to change. For current pricing, please contact the salon or refer to our current service menu.
  • Gift cards purchased from Glitz & Glam do not expire.
  • From time to time, Glitz & Glam may offer complimentary promotional or bonus certificates in connection with a special offer. Promotional bonus value may have a stated expiration date or other promotional terms, which will be disclosed when the offer is issued. The expiration of promotional bonus value does not affect the value originally purchased by the client.

Sanitation & Safety

  • All reusable tools and implements are cleaned and disinfected between clients using appropriate disinfectants in accordance with applicable sanitation requirements and product instructions.
  • After cleaning and disinfection, certain implements may be stored in UV cabinets until their next use. UV cabinets are used as part of our storage process and are not a substitute for required cleaning and disinfection.
  • Pedicure equipment is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with applicable sanitation requirements. A fresh disposable liner is also used for each applicable pedicure service.
  • Disposable files, buffers, and other single-use items are used where appropriate.
  • Our nail technicians are properly licensed or registered as required by Florida law.
  • For your safety, please inform your technician before your service of any known medical condition, medication, injury, skin or nail condition, allergy, sensitivity, or other health concern that could reasonably affect the safety or suitability of your requested service.
  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding known health concerns or other circumstances they are aware of that may reasonably affect their service.
  • Glitz & Glam provides cosmetic nail and beauty services only. Our technicians do not diagnose medical conditions or provide medical treatment.
  • If a technician observes a condition or circumstance that causes concern about whether a particular cosmetic service should proceed, the technician may pause, modify, postpone, stop, or decline that service and may request assistance from salon management.
  • Our technicians are not medical professionals, and a decision to pause or decline a service is not a medical diagnosis or determination that a particular medical condition exists.
  • Safety decisions are based on the circumstances of the requested service and the information or observable conditions present at the time, rather than assumptions about a client's medical condition or disability.
  • When appropriate, we may recommend that a client consult a qualified healthcare professional before resuming the affected service.

Children in the Salon

  • Children are welcome in the salon and must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
  • We offer kid-friendly nail services through our Mini-Me menu for children ages 7 and younger.
  • For the comfort and safety of all guests, children who are not receiving services should remain with their accompanying adult.

Service Satisfaction

  • Your satisfaction is important to us. If you have a concern with the appearance or quality of your service, please contact the salon as soon as possible.
  • Requests for complimentary corrections should generally be reported within 5 days of the original service.
  • A concern reported within the 5-day period may still be scheduled for correction after that period when scheduling does not allow the client to return immediately.
  • We will make every reasonable effort to evaluate and address legitimate service concerns and, when appropriate, offer a complimentary correction.
  • Complimentary corrections are determined based on the circumstances of each request and may not be available when the issue results from subsequent damage, neglect, normal wear, service performed elsewhere, repeated repair requests, or circumstances unrelated to the original service.
  • Management retains reasonable discretion when determining whether a complimentary correction is appropriate.

Allergy & Health Disclosure

  • Please inform your technician before your service of any known allergy or sensitivity that may be relevant to the products or materials used during your service.
  • If you have a known medical condition, take medication, or have another health concern that could reasonably affect your service or your body's response to the service, please disclose that information to your technician before the service begins.
  • If you experience unusual discomfort, burning, irritation, or another unexpected reaction during a service, please notify your technician immediately so the service can be evaluated and modified or stopped when appropriate.
  • Providing accurate health and safety information helps us determine whether a requested cosmetic service can be performed safely and appropriately.
